The Winter Carnival Steering Committee is comprised of members of the Agricultural Society, Chamber of Commerce, Municipality of Tweed, Tweed Music Festivals, the Tweed Lions Club, Land O' Lakes Curling Club and the Kiwanis Club of Tweed.  
The steering committee has adopted "Mr. Tweedy" as the logo for the carnival.  "Mr. Tweedy" will appear during the Carnival for photos and as the ambassafor for the weekend.

A very speical event will be the Friday night Sweetheart Dance featuring popular Belleville radio personality, Freddy Vette and his band, the Flames.  The 50's Sock Hop (costimes optional) begins at 8:00 pm at st. Edmund's Hall, off Marlbank Road, east of Tweed.  This is a licenced event with cash bar (ID Required).  Tickets are available at Bush Furniture, Tweed News, Pinnacle Music in Belleville, or reserve by calling 613-478-1691. This event is liekly to sell out so get your tickets early.

Friday Events
6:00 PM - Torchlight Parade - Assembling on Colborne St. - Down Victoria Street from Bridge St. to River St. - Marchers welcome - pick up your glowsticks from the Lions Club Parade Marshalls at Boldrick's parking lot on Colborne St. 
6:00-8:00 PM - Kid's Dance- White Building - Ages Kindergarten to Grade 5
6:30 PM- Bonfire & Skating - Bonfire - Tweed Memorial Park, Skating on Stoco Lake Skating Rink, Refreshments available from local vendors. 
8:30 PM - Fireworks - Tweed Memorial Park by the lake.

Saturday Events
10:00 AM - 1:30 PM - Games - All day skating on Stoco Lake, BBQ each day for visitors to buy food at the park.  Mr. Tweedy Snowball Toss, Children's Tug of War, Adults Tug of War, Children's 5 on 5 hocky game, adults logest drive, childrens egg toss, Logger games, adult curling with pain buckets, childrens longest drive, adults 3 on 3 hockey game, children's adult parachute, adult sack races.
2:00 PM - Colouring Contest - White Building - Ages 4-6 Ages 7-9 and Ages 10-12 Prizes and ribbons awarded. 
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM- Dog Sled Rides - Tweed Memorial PArk Baseball Diamond - Local Dog Sledders Chilli Pawz offers rides for childern and adults. $3 per person - family pricing avaliable. 
1:00 - 3:00 PM - Chili Cook-Off - Tweedsmuir Tavern - Victoria St. - Taste the chili and vote for your favourties. Twoonie per sample -proceeds go to the Tweed Food Bank. 
1:00 - 5:00 PM - Beef Stew Dinner - Tweed Lions Hungerford Hall - Victoria & Jamieson. $8 per plate - Warm up with a hearty beef stew, bun, dessert and beverage. 
8:00 PM - Evening Dance - Tweedsmuir Tavern - Victoria St. Charlie Bird Band - Licenced event (ID Required).

Sunday Events
8:00 AM - Pancake Breakfast - Land O' Lakes Curling Club, near the Arena Kiwanis Club of Tweed event. 
10:00 AM - Curling Contest- Land O' Lakes Curling Club members are holding a "Cloest to the Button Contest" in the Curling Club.  All Ages welcome to participate.
